Can this product be used in household circuits? Remote signaling communication
Hello, suitable for home use, but not remote communication
How do you wire this thing? Are there any schematics or wiring diagrams?
lt's just wired in parallel, close to the breaker for the load you wish to protect. Line and neutral to land N and a good heavy ground to earth. lt can't do it's job unless you give it a very low resistance path to ground. Also, keep the L and N leads as short as possible so the distance from the protected breaker is small.
Installation instructions
lt installs just like a standard circuit breaker (you can Y-tube that). Basically you grab one end or the other (with everything "off"!!) and pull it out and down.
Is this din rail mounted? how is this wired to the dc output of a solar panel array?
Yes it is DIN rail mounted. You just wire it in anywhere between your panels, charge controller or inverter (in a protected area or enclosure) using a separate parallel set of + - leads and the earth on the arr ester goes to a copper ground rod. lt will send power surges / emps inducted to thesy stem to the earth ground thereby hopefully protecting your charge controller and inverter.
How many amps can it take at 20v before it trips?
Surge protectors protect electrical equipment from lightning strikes on electrical circuits. lt doesn'ttrip. The window is green during normal operation and red when damaged by lightning strikes.
